I liked the episode, and yes it was sad to see Sybil go BUT: 1) since everyone on Tumblr wouldn't stop talking about it last week, I was prepared, 2) JBF IMO is not a great actress. I think she relies a lot on her looks and her husky voice and a lot of the time I found myself thinking she could have done much better (talking about the show in general now). Allen is a great actor, better than the partner he was given IMO. and 3) from the very 1st second last night they kept talking about how healthy Sybil is so it was pretty obvious she's gonna die. I knew from the moment the ep started pretty much. I'm gonna be honest - I was relieved that they got the death over with and it wasn't Bates (or Anna) but like other B/A fans I'm so sick of 30 second scenes!! I just find the whole pie thing so INFURIATING. Where the hell was all this info during the trial?! Why are we just finding out NOW?! And next week looks scary for Bates. I know he won't kill Craig or anything but I'm just worried things will get out of control. I need it to be his last ep in prison. I can't take anymore bad news!

The pie storyline is crazy, but if it finally gets him out of there... And why was Mrs. Bartlett never qestioned by the police? The woman who brought them the letter was never questioned??? Why on earth not? Shoddy writing, Felowes.

Can't decide if it's Fellowes or Hugh or the director's fault. I think it was a little bit of the three of them. The writting wouldn't allow it since it is focused on Cora's grieve, the director probably overlooked it because of that, but still Hugh could have put a bit of it in his acting.

OK, I'm not really promoting this theory (well kinda) but could Fellowes be this bad... Read the last several sentences........ Coma???
The eclamptic seizure (from Wikipedia) Chesley distinguishes these four stages of an eclamptic event: In the stage of invasion facial twitching can be observed around the mouth. In the stage of contraction tonic contractions render the body rigid; this stage may last about 15 to 20 seconds. The next stage is the stage of convulsion when involuntary and forceful muscular movements occur, the tongue may be bitten, foam appears at the mouth. The patient stops breathing and becomes cyanotic; this stage lasts about one minute. The final stage is a more or less prolonged coma. When the patient awakens, she is unlikely to remember the event.[2] In some rare cases there are no convulsions and the patient falls directly into a coma. Some patients may experience temporary blindness upon waking from the coma .

Wow, this episode really shocked me. I got the vibe from the very start of the ep that Sybill was going to die but I really didn't think Fellowes would actually do it. it was so heart breaking, but as others have said there was a little part of me that breathed a sigh of relief that she is 'the death' this season and not Bates or Anna. I'm actually surprised that the death happened so early in the season as I was sure it would be during the Christmas Special. Now I'm worried about what other kind of heartbreak JF has thought up for that! also, I'm s ared for next week... Bates isn't going to mess things up is he?!

Everyone blaming Fellowes.. I mean, I blamed Fellowes a lot when Bates was sentenced, but Thank the TV Gods.. he is still kickin. But, I think JBF wanted out. And while, yea... they could have just written her and Branson out due to "Ireland", but... it is a period DRAMA.

A lot of anger on Tumblr. I've seen the words 'death threat' a few times.
I know we can moan moan moan about JF ruining our characters etc but it is his TV show and he can do with it as he chooses. This takes nothing away from the fact I don't like the way Bates has been treated this series, but if it wasn't for JF none of this would have existed in the first place.
